Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 August 2026
ReceiptPull has one job: find receipts and invoices in a mailbox you connect, and collect them into a private, searchable archive. This policy explains exactly what that means for your data.
What ReceiptPull does with your mailbox
When you connect Gmail or Outlook, your provider grants ReceiptPull read-only access. We use it only to look for receipts and invoices in the date range you choose. We never send, reply to, forward, label, move or delete email, and we never read your mailbox for advertising or profiling.
What we collect and store
For each detected receipt or invoice we store: merchant name, document date, the date the email arrived, amount and currency, document type, the email subject, the sender address, a provider message reference so you can open the original email, and the attached document itself when the email included one. We also store your account details, language and display preferences, mailbox connection status and subscription state.
What we never store
Emails that are not receipts or invoices, their attachments, your contacts, your mailbox password, and messages from senders that fail our trust checks. Mailbox access tokens are held server-side, encrypted, and are never exposed to the app running on your device.
Storage, links and retention
Documents are kept in private storage that is not publicly reachable; every view or download goes through a short-lived signed link tied to your account. Data is retained while your account is active. Disconnecting a mailbox stops all access to it, and deleting your receipts or your account removes the stored documents and their metadata.
Who else is involved
Your email provider (Google or Microsoft) for mailbox access; our hosting and database provider for the application and your archive; Apple and Google for subscription purchases, with RevenueCat as the subscription infrastructure that reports purchase state to us; and our transactional email provider when you ask us to email you an export link. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.
Your controls and rights
From Settings you can disconnect any mailbox, change the scan range, export everything you have collected, delete your receipts, and delete your account. Deleting your account removes your documents, receipt metadata, mailbox credentials and preferences. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or for its deletion by contacting support.
Accuracy
Amounts, dates, currencies and merchant names are detected automatically from email content and may be wrong or missing. Always verify against the original document before relying on it. ReceiptPull is not accounting, bookkeeping or tax software.
Children and changes
ReceiptPull is not intended for children under 16. If this policy changes materially we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
